Greg Hartman

For the past 30 years, Greg Hartman has applied his talents to the music, radio, television, film, theater, concert production and education industries.

As a recording studio owner, Grammy Award winning recording & mix engineer, and audio production professional, Greg has built a reputation for excellence. Greg Hartman’s mission has always been simple: Make the production the absolute best that it can be. No matter what! That approach has enabled Greg to contribute his expertise to a wide range of productions in the U.S., as well as internationally.

As a recording engineer, and sound production specialist, Greg has worked on productions with The Bonnaroo Music Festival, Alison Krauss, Robert Plant, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National Public Radio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Faith Hill, Lucinda Williams, Warner Bros. Records, Sony Music, The National Symphony Orchestra, The Dave Matthews Band, Neil Young, Tim McGraw, MTV, VH1, Sarah Bareilles, and many more.

As a business owner, Greg has always had a passion for training new employees and gained a true appreciation for helping the next generation succeed through education. His dedication to help others experience the exciting career in event production led him to educating others. As an adjunct professor, Greg taught live sound and production classes to students who have gone on to successful careers in Live Sound Audio. He has also served as a guest lecturer at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and serves on the board of B-Roll Media and Arts, an educational non-profit entity teaching classes to underserved children in the Washington, DC area.

As an educator, Greg never believed in the old saying that “those who can do and those who can’t teach”. His mantra is that class educators should be the best of the best in their field, then be able to deliver that expertise via good communication skills to create the proper environment for effectual learning. Capital Stage Techs is an extension of his work history and teaching experience.
